Poudre Canyon Engagement Session | Emma + Adam
We spent the evening in Rist Canyon on a private ranch that backed into the Poudre Canyon. I was excited when Emma told me that she would be bringing her dogs to her Engagement Session but I had no idea that there would be deer on the property too. One stuck around just long enough for me to capture it. For all of you Colorado natives, this might not be a big deal but for this California girl - It was a HUGE deal. This isn’t something that you see everyday. Well maybe in the Poudre Canyon, but definitely not where I’m from.
Let’s talk about Emma & Adam.
Sweet words (from their Engagement Session Questionnaire):
Adam - What is your favorite quality about your bride to be? Her kindness, and her ability to keep me grounded.
Emma - What is your favorite quality about your Groom to be? His ambition and his love for our dogs and those he cares about.
How did you meet? We first met, through mutual friends, at a Colorado State University tailgate at Hughes Stadium in October 2016. After that, throughout the year, we would meet up at various places. Then in May of 2017, Adam (who was a bit shy) finally asked me out on a date to the movies and the rest is history.
Their dogs “Sooie and Kala” mean so much to them and they are, as Emma put it, “Our entire lives! We can’t imagine doing anything without them. They are like our children.” That made my heart so happy. I absolutely love it when couples incorporate their pets throughout the engagement and/or wedding day process.
Emma and Adam are tying the knot in the Summer of next year in Wellington, Colorado. I can’t wait to document their big day! Cheers to Emma and Adam! Cheers to love!
